A fresh Trailblazer has more to do than stamina to do it with. Here’s exactly where to spend every drop of Trailblaze Power so your account snowballs instead of stalling.
Trailblaze Power Is the Only Real Bottleneck
Everything valuable in Honkai: Star Rail flows from one resource: Trailblaze Power. It refills at one point every six minutes, which works out to 240 points a day, and the meter caps at 300. That cap is the whole game of efficiency — if your bar sits full while you sleep or sit in class, you are literally throwing away progress. Log in twice a day, morning and night, and you’ll almost never waste a point.
Overflow past 300 now drops into Reserved Trailblaze Power, a bank that holds up to 2,400 points you can pour back into farming later. Use it to stockpile before a big farming push or a double-drop event, but don’t treat it as an excuse to ignore the game for a week — the reserve fills slowly and caps out too.
Here’s the mindset shift that separates fast accounts from stuck ones: jade, credits, and materials are effectively unlimited over time, but stamina is not. Plan your day around spending Trailblaze Power, and everything else takes care of itself.
Your Ten-Minute Daily Loop
Before you spend a single point of Trailblaze Power, clear the free stuff that costs none. Open Assignments — the dispatch board — and fill all four slots with 20-hour missions; they hand you credits, character and Light Cone EXP, and ascension mats while you’re offline. Collect and resend them every morning so a slot is never sitting empty.
Next, knock out Daily Training. You want 500 activity points, and the fastest path is usually clearing whatever Calyx or Cavern stage you were going to run anyway, plus a Simulated Universe world and one Echo of War. The daily chest and your assignments together are a two-minute habit that quietly funds your entire roster.
Weekly, you get three heavily discounted Echo of War clears — these drop trace materials and weekly-boss ascension mats you can’t get anywhere else, so never let the week roll over without taking all three. Finally, punch in the official livestream redemption codes each patch; HoYoverse gives out free Stellar Jade every version, and it takes thirty seconds in the settings menu.
Spend Power on Levels and Credits First — Relics Come Later
On a new account, resist the urge to farm relics. It feels productive, but the Cavern of Corrosion only starts dropping five-star relics once your Equilibrium Level is high enough, so grinding gear at low world level nets you trash you’ll delete in a week. Save that stamina.
Instead, dump your Trailblaze Power into Golden Calyxes. The Bud of Memories gives character EXP, and the Bud of Treasures gives credits — the sneaky bottleneck that stalls most new players. You’ll run dry leveling characters, Light Cones, traces, and relics all at once, so alternate between the EXP and credit Calyxes based on whichever wall you hit first.
Hold off on the Cavern of Corrosion until you’ve pushed your Equilibrium Level to roughly 4 through the Trailblaze story and Equilibrium Trials. That’s when relic quality and drop rates finally justify the cost. Stagnant Shadows are worth it only when you’re actively ascending a character you’ll main — don’t farm boss mats for units riding your bench.
One quality-of-life tip: once a stage is farmable, use the Immersifier condense option to spend six runs’ worth of stamina in a single click. Same drops, none of the loading screens, which matters a lot when you run the same Calyx every day.
Free Progression That Doesn’t Touch Your Stamina
Some of the best progression in the game never touches your stamina bar, and new players routinely leave it on the table. Simulated Universe is the big one: it costs zero Trailblaze Power, and clearing worlds earns Cosmic Fragments for Herta’s Store, where you can buy character EXP, credit materials, Light Cone upgrade mats, and even a free four-star Light Cone. Do the weekly point milestones every single week.
Your single largest source of Stellar Jade, though, is simply playing the story. The Trailblaze Continuance and world quests pay out enormous jade plus Star Rail Passes for pulls — so if you’re torn between grinding gear and pushing the main campaign, push the campaign. It raises your Equilibrium Level too, which improves everything downstream.
Don’t sleep on limited-time events, either. Most patches ship a couple of events that gift hundreds of Stellar Jade, ascension mats, and sometimes a free character for a few hours of light play. Combined with the free Nameless Honor track — which drips credits, EXP mats, and passes as you finish missions you’re already doing — these sources fund far more pulls than any farming route ever will.
Legit Ways to Add Extra — and the “Generator” Trap
Once you’ve squeezed the in-game economy, there are a couple of genuinely legitimate ways to add a little outside fuel. Google Opinion Rewards pays you Google Play credit for answering short surveys, and that balance can buy Oneiric Shards — the game’s official paid currency — right in the store. Mistplay works similarly, rewarding you with points for playtime that convert into Play or gift-card credit. Neither turns you into a whale, but a few dollars of survey credit a month is real, and it’s completely within the rules.
What is not legitimate is any site or app promising free Stellar Jade, Oneiric Shard “generators,” or Trailblaze Power hacks. None of them work, and the reason is simple: your currency lives on HoYoverse’s servers, and no outside tool can write to them. What those pages actually do is phish your login, hijack your account to resell it, or push a modded APK stuffed with malware.
The downside is real and permanent. HoYoverse’s Terms of Service ban accounts caught using third-party tools or account modification, and you will not get a hacked or hijacked account back. The honest math is better anyway: respect your Trailblaze Power, clear the free weeklies, and a patient free-to-play Trailblazer pulls plenty. Grind smart, not shady.
